A Denturist is a healthcare professional regulated under the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

 

Dentures are governed by the same legislation as Dental Hygienists, Medical Doctors, Surgeons, Dentists, Chiropractors, Nurses and Pharmacists, to name a few professionals.

 

Anyone can consult a Denturist without a referral from another health care professional. Denturists provide cost and time-effective denture treatment.

 

Most of our laboratory work is performed at our on-site lab to ensure that quality on the premises to ensure that quality of care is consistent and personalized.

 

We make special arrangements for retirement home visits.

Graduating from Georgian College’s Barrie campus in 2002 for Business, Charissa then went to complete and acquire her license for Denturism at George Brown College in 2006. She participated in a mentorship program under Mark Chandler in Etobicoke, and has also worked with Denturists in Scarborough and Belleville to gain knowledge and experience. Moving back to her hometown of Barrie in 2008, Charissa, with her sister Katelyn VanCasteren, opened First Impression Denture Clinic.

Katelyn has been the receptionist/office manager since our inception in 2008. She takes pride in her position and puts her heart and soul into making sure all of our patients feel welcome. Katelyn is truly our “first impression”; whether on the phone or the friendly face that greets you when you walk in the door.
